The Quirk Chronicles (2018)

Meet Desiree Pierce, a happy-go-plucky woman who deals with unexpected circumstances with quirk and spice. In episode four, Des seeks to broaden her spiritual perspective through enlightenment and one-love sexual satisfaction, only to be tested when an old flame appears unexpectedly. In episode five, as Desiree attempts to resume writing her novel, she is confronted with a stubborn case of writer's block. Before long, her imagination leads her on another timely quirky adventure, somewhere in left field. In episode six, Desiree meets up with a college soror sister, who attempts to wheedle her into partaking in a major live event, presenting Des with a set of impractical demands. Can their friendship survive another calculating curveball?

Director Biography - Autumn Simmons

Autumn Simmons, creator, writer, producer and star of the award-winning sitcom web series, The Quirk Chronicles, has garnered recognition with an award of merit during the summer of 2016 from WRPN’s Global Webisode Competition, and has received a Philadelphia Independent Film Awards nomination in 2017 for Best Web Series. Spring of 2019, Simmons garnered a silver award of merit for lead actress in the So You Think You Can Act Competition. In 2020, Simmons debuts her memoir, I Quirky Girl, which chronicles details of her early life, and how her award-winning sitcom web series came to fruition.

In addition to The Quirk Chronicles, Autumn, has offered her unique voice to 8-Ball Graphix Animation Studio’s animated project, Hip-Hop High, giving voice to character ninja assassin, Azumi.

Last but not least, Autumn holds a BA in Communications from Wesleyan College and an MFA in Creative Writing from Rosemont College. She is also the author of the Young Adult book series,
The Netherworld of Kemet and the Middle-Grade novel, Adventures In Boogieland.
