My black-eyed Canada (french with english subtitle, spanish available)
In 2008, progressive democrat Obama is elected in the United States while Canada re-elects a widely hated conservative: Harper. The book Noir Canada is published and inspired the following poem.
Eight years later, the faces of North American leaders continue to change, but behind their masks, do the policies really change? Following a defamation lawsuit, the sale of Noir Canada has been prohibited since 2011.

Poet, visual artist and performer, Hélène Matte is a prolific artist. From curator to manager, she wears many hats (or many heads!), from which sheadopts the concept of hyperprod. PhD student in Literature, performing
and screening arts at Université Laval, she questions the notions of voice, meeting and experimental poetry. Since 2003, she has produced many shows and collaborated in many other vidéopoésies and shortfilms. Her exhibits and performances have been presented Europe, Canada and other American countries.
