Mirka Kettunen
Mirka Kettunen is a new aspiring Swedish filmmaker out of Stockholm. He has worked in TV productions as a Segment Producer, Reporter and Video Journalist.
He is a Graduate from Prague Film School in Czech Republic as a Director and Script Writer. "The Last Wizards On Earth" is his Diploma Film. He has directed short films, music videos and in-house commercials.
Currently he is planning a Horror Short and writing a Rom Com project called "Major Tom" – a cross between Garden State and Gravity.
I draw inspiration from good visual storytellers. The emotional journey of the Hero has to be felt, be it "American Beauty", "Seven Samurai", "the "Lord Of The Rings" Trilogy, "Sunset Boulevard", "2001" or "Das Boot".
My film "The Last Wizards On Earth" is just a first step in an exploration in making films. My aim is making stories where the audience's sentiments of hate towards the Bad Guy change as they understand character's motivation. Nothing is never really categorically black or white. Everything is just different hues of gray.
