Peaberry Film Festival believes in these things:

- Every film should screen in-person.
- Every screening should be treated like its own special event.
- If your audience is just other filmmakers, is it really an audience?
- Forget pomp and circumstance, let's party.

With these things in mind, we're open to films of any kind by anybody with the goal of creatively programming so films not only uplift each other, but also are engaged with by the community.

Here's what filmmaker Hudson Phillips has to say:

"The historic Canton Theatre is a beautiful and perfectly-sized venue and every screening was packed! Might be my favorite screening yet with a fully engaged audience and an incredible Q&A following with such intelligent questions. Loved getting to see the other shorts and docs - all of which were fun and personal and well done - and getting to know the other filmmakers, volunteers, and attendees. Plus, Canton has amazing bars and restaurants keeping us properly fed (and tipsy?)"

We show films at the historic Canton Theatre, a gorgeous place that dates back to 1911 when the theatre was a popular scene for silent movies. It's a lovely place to watch your movie in a cute downtown with lots of other fun stuff to do.

Send us your best, we can't wait to see it.

Awards aren't really our thing, but giving out goodie bags to every attending filmmaker is, and we try to spoil you as much as we possibly can.

Digital submissions only. Accepted filmmakers will be asked to provide high quality Quicktime files of their films through Dropbox, Vimeo, or another cloud storage service (preferably Dropbox or Vimeo though).

Submissions must not include licensed or copyrighted material unless proof of permission is given with the submission.

Thank you so much for having our film, we loved coming to Peaberry! Some technical difficulties pushed the schedule around but it was ultimately a wonderful time!

Peaberry is my kind of film festival. Brent does a phenomenal job programming a well-curated and well-paced festival. The historic Canton Theater is a beautiful and perfectly-sized venue and every screening was packed! Might be my favorite screening yet with a fully engaged audience and an incredible Q&A following with such intelligent questions. Loved getting to see the other films (all of which were fun and personal and well done) and getting to know the other filmmakers, volunteers, and attendees. Perfect counter-programming for the flashy and crowded Atlanta Film Fest. Peaberry felt like home. Can’t wait to be back!

What a fantastic festival. Run by a brilliant team that puts filmmakers first. Excellent communication, professionally run, an honor to have Slow Dating selected in such a great line-up.

The Peaberry Festival is an absolutely wonderful film festival. Located at a beautiful classic theater in the great city of Canton Georgia, the festival’s staff hospitality was second to none! With multiple events in the program for community and network building, there were opportunities to meet and talk with other film makers and lovers of cinema, while enjoying the community of the city. The film blocks were well designed and we were thrilled that there was even a family friendly block to bring the kids to! We were so thankful to have our animated film Splash! play at this festival and can’t wait to return to this festival in the future! To our team this is now a "can’t miss it" festival!

Thank you very much Peaberry Film Fest! Keep up the great work!
