Thank you for making the 2025 return of the Oregon Coast Film Festival a success!

For 2026, we are again seeking exclusively Oregon films: short films (under 20 min) made in Oregon and/or by filmmakers currently residing in Oregon. We know this may limit the size of our event, but we want to focus on local filmmaking/filmmakers. (Keep it local!) We are looking for documentary, fiction, and freeform shorts that have a connection to the people, culture, environment, landscape, and artists of Oregon, the Pacific Northwest, the western oceans, and the eastern desert.

The Oregon Coast Film Festival was founded by Dave Wilhite and ran from 2013 to 2020. The festival is now organized and presented by the Egyptian Theatre of Coos Bay, Oregon. The Egyptian is a volunteer-run historic 100-year-old theater.

Audiences will vote on their favorite short film in 3 blocks and their overall favorite of the festival.

Favorites of 3 blocks: $75 each.
People's Choice: $100 award.

All accepted/screened films are acknowledged as a “Official Selection” of the Oregon Coast Film Festival.

The Oregon Coast Film Festival was a standout experience. Aaron curated the program with excellent pacing and a thoughtful mix of films, and he also made sure each filmmaker had time to speak about their work. That personal touch created a real sense of connection in the room. The Egyptian Theatre is spacious, beautiful and perfect for meeting other filmmakers. Aaron is very good at getting back to us with all our questions. Thank you!!

Such a great event! The Egyptian always inspires with its glamour. The festival chose the perfect backdrop to share the varied and unique films. Aaron & his team did a great job ensuring that the event went smoothly and the films were woven together in a meaningful way.

I must say that the Oh! WHALE film was the perfect ending to this wonderful event. I am looking forward to next year already! Good job!
