Il Murmat Short Film Festival torna per la sua sesta edizione, tra novità e tradizione.
Per la sua sesta edizione, il Festival continua nel solco delle tematiche sociali, aprendo le iscrizioni per l’invio di cortometraggi di qualsiasi tipologia (fiction, animazione, documentaristica).
Quest’anno c’è un'importante novità: il Murmat non darà una tematica sociale di riferimento, lasciando quindi la massima libertà artistica a coloro che iscriveranno le proprie opere già girate.
Accanto alla sezione “Tema Sociale”, il Murmat permetterà anche l’iscrizione alle opere che non trattino di queste tematiche, aggiungendo la sezione “Tema Libero”; anche qui consentendo l’invio di opere di qualsiasi tipologia (fiction, animazione, documentaristica).
La decisione è frutto di un’attenta analisi; il Murmat è un Festival a tema sociale che ha sempre dato una tematica di riferimento per le opere da candidare. Quest’anno, però, abbiamo notato che le esigenze umane e artistiche fossero talmente numerose da impedire di privilegiarne soltanto una a rischio di mettere in ombra un’altra, pertanto il Festival ha decretato che vi fosse un indirizzo generico permettendo così un’azione intersezionale tra le tematiche artistico-umane proposte da tutti gli autori delle opere.
Il Festival richiede che le opere siano state girate dal 2020, incluso, per una durata di massimo 15 minuti, titoli esclusi.
Per le opere straniere sono richiesti i sottotitoli in italiano in alternativa, in inglese.
I premi saranno cinque: Miglior Cortometraggio a Tema Sociale e Miglior Cortometraggio a Tema Libero, decisi dalla giuria nominata dal Festival, Miglior Attore e Miglior Attrice decretato dal pubblico in sala, e Menzione Speciale Accademica, assegnata dai giovani autori dell’Accademia cinematografica che collaborerà con il Festival.

The Murmat Short Film Festival returns for its sixth edition, between novelty and tradition.
For its sixth edition, the Festival continues in the wake of social issues, opening registrations for sending short films of any type (fiction, animation, documentary).
This year there is an important novelty: the Murmat will not give a reference social theme, thus leaving maximum artistic freedom to those who register their already shot works.
Alongside the "Social Theme" section, the Murmat will also allow entries to works that do not deal with these issues, adding the "Free Theme" section; also here allowing the sending of works of any type (fiction, animation, documentary).
The decision is the result of careful analysis; the Murmat is a social themed Festival that has always given a reference theme for the works to be nominated. This year, however, we have noticed that the human and artistic needs were so numerous as to prevent us from privileging only one at the risk of overshadowing another, therefore the Festival has decreed that there was a generic address thus allowing an intersectional action among the artistic-human themes proposed by all the authors of the works.
The Festival requires that the works have been filmed since 2020, inclusive, for a maximum duration of 15 minutes, excluding titles.
For foreign works, subtitles in Italian or alternatively in English are required.
There will be five prizes: Best Short Film on a Social Theme and Best Short Film on a Free Theme, decided by the jury nominated by the Festival, Best Actor and Best Actress decreed by the audience in the room, and Special Academic Mention, assigned by the young authors of the Film Academy who will collaborate with the Festival.

Trattasi di una manifestazione culturale, senza alcun scopo di lucro, organizzata dall’associazione ShakeArt, specializzata in promozione sociale, il cui fine è di valorizzare l’opera cinematografica breve, realizzata da autori indipendenti, amatoriali e professionisti.

La 6° edizione del MURMAT SHORT FILM FESTIVAL si svolgerà a Roma nel mese di dicembre 2023.

Art 3: REQUISITI DI PARTECIPAZIONE

Art. 3.1 GENERE
Possono partecipare al concorso OPERE AUDIOVISIVE in formato fiction, anche animata, o documentario di qualsiasi genere, affini al tema sociale o a tematica libera. Per le opere di origine estera sono richiesti obbligatoriamente i sottotitoli in inglese.

Art. 3. 2 DURATA, TEMATICA e ANNO di PRODUZIONE
Sesta edizione: TEMA Sociale - TEMA Libero . Al concorso verranno accettate opere audiovisive con durata massima di 15 minuti esclusi i titoli di testa e di coda. Prodotti ultimati tra l’anno 2020 e l’anno 2023. La direzione del festival si riserva la facoltà di selezionare opere che superino di poco il limite massimo consentito qualora vengano ritenute altamente valide.

ART. 3.3 ISCRIZIONE
Per partecipare alla selezione preliminare del festival è previsto il pagamento di una quota di iscrizione che varia in base alla distanza temporale dal festival. Iscrivendosi entro la prima finestra temporale la quota sarà di 10 Euro, mentre nella seconda 13 Euro e nella terza 15 Euro. La deadline finale è il primo novembre. Per ogni cortometraggio inviato, quale contributo per le spese di segreteria, da versare per mezzo di https://filmfreeway.com/murmatfestival . Tale quota non verrà rimborsata nel caso l’opera non venisse selezionata. Tutti gli iscritti dovranno compilare la tessera associativa scaricabile qui: https://murmatfestival.it/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Modulo-richiesta-socio-ordinario-e-newsletter-pdf.pdf che gli permetterà di accedere agli eventi in programmazione. I partecipanti al concorso per iscriversi al festival dovranno procedere all’iscrizione, entro le ore 24,00 della data stabilita. La Direzione invierà una mail di risposta per comunicare l’avvenuta iscrizione al festival.

ART. 4. GIURIA/SELEZIONE DEI CORTI

ART 4. 1 Il Consiglio Direttivo del Murmat Festival nominerà una commissione giudicatrice qualificata per la visione delle opere e l’assegnazione dei premi. Il giudizio della giuria è inappellabile. Una giuria di professionisti visionerà le opere pervenute e selezionerà quelle ammesse alla serata finale. Gli autori delle opere finaliste saranno contattati dalla direzione del festival per l’invio tramite WETRANSFER di un file del corto, in formato .MOV, oppure mp4 (codec h264, ACC o Linear PCM) max 1 gb, più materiali pubblicitari. Gli autori delle opere selezionate saranno invitati a rispondere alle domande della stampa e del pubblico presente al termine della proiezione dei propri lavori in concorso.

Art. 4. 2: GIURIA DELLA SERATA DI PREMIAZIONE
Durante la manifestazione finale le opere selezionate saranno proiettate al pubblico e alla stampa, alla presenza della giuria di esperti.

4.3 LA GIURIA DEL PUBBLICO
Al pubblico presente alla serata sarà fornito un modello cartaceo con l’elenco di tutti i corti finalisti ove potrà votare il miglior attore e la migliore attrice. Chi avrà ottenuto il maggior numero di voti verrà premiato durante la serata conclusiva del festival e riceverà il premio assegnato che consisterà in una targa al merito.

Art. 5 DIVULGAZIONE PROMOZIONALE
Le opere ammesse alle serate finali, le date di proiezione e la composizione della giuria saranno rese note almeno 7 giorni prima sul sito www.murmatfestival.com e sulla pagina facebook ufficiale https://www.facebook.com/Murmat-Festival, così pure ogni altra comunicazione circa lo svolgimento del concorso. La direzione del festival potrà utilizzare le opere pervenute per la divulgazione promozionale e pubblicitaria del concorso (anche dopo la chiusura dell’edizione), per nessun motivo le cederà ad altri o le trasmetterà per mezzi audiovisivi (web TV / TV private ecc.)

*I vincitori si impegnano a menzionare l’attribuzione dei vari premi in ogni occasione ed in tutte le forme di lancio pubblicitario.
I vincitori si impegnano ad inserire il logo del Festival nelle loro opere.
I premi in denaro si intendono al lordo della ritenuta a titolo di imposta del 25% ai sensi dell’art. 30, 2° comma DPR 600/73.
I premi in denaro viene quantificato dalla direzione del Festival in misura dei fondi ricevuti.

La partecipazione al festival implica l’accettazione integrale del presente regolamento. La direzione del festival si riserva il diritto di prendere ogni decisione non prevista dal presente regolamento, per far fronte ad eventuali problematiche che si potrebbero verificare durante il suo svolgimento. Art 3: PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

Art. 3.1 GENDER
They can participate in the competition AUDIOVISUAL WORKS in fiction format, also animated, or documentary of any kind, related to the social or free theme. English subtitles are mandatory for works of foreign origin.

Art. 3. 2 DURATION, THEME and YEAR of PRODUCTION
Sixth edition: Social TEMA - Free TEMA . Audiovisual works with a maximum duration of 15 minutes excluding opening and closing credits will be accepted for the competition. Latest products between the year 2020 and the year 2023. The festival management reserves the right to select works that slightly exceed the maximum limit allowed if they are considered highly valid.

ART. 3.3 REGISTRATION
To participate in the preliminary selection of the festival, a registration fee must be paid which varies according to the time distance from the festival. By registering within the first time window, the fee will be 10 Euro, while in the second one 13 Euro and in the third one 15 Euro. The final deadline is November 1st. For each short film sent, as a contribution to the administrative costs, to be paid by means of https://filmfreeway.com/murmatfestival. This fee will not be refunded if the work is not selected. All registered members must fill in the membership card which can be downloaded here: https://murmatfestival.it/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/Modulo-richiesta-socio-ordinario-e-newsletter-pdf.pdf which will allow them to access to scheduled events. Participants in the competition to register for the festival must register by 12.00 pm on the established date. The Management will send a reply email to communicate the registration to the festival.

ART. 4. JURY / SELECTION OF COURTS

ART 4. 1 The Executive Council of the Murmat Festival will appoint a qualified judging commission for viewing the works and awarding the prizes. The jury's decision is final. A jury of professionals will view the submitted works and select those admitted to the final evening. The authors of the finalist works will be contacted by the festival management to send via WETRANSFER a file of the short, in .MOV format, or mp4 (h264 codec, ACC or Linear PCM) max 1 gb, plus advertising materials. The authors of the selected works will be invited to answer questions from the press and the public present at the end of the screening of their works in competition.

Art. 4. 2: JURY OF THE AWARDS EVENING
During the final event, the selected works will be screened to the public and the press, in the presence of the jury of experts.

4.3 THE PUBLIC JURY
The public present at the evening will be provided with a paper model with a list of all the finalist shorts where they can vote for the best actor and best actress. Whoever obtains the highest number of votes will be awarded during the final evening of the festival and will receive the assigned prize which will consist of a merit plaque.

Art. 5 PROMOTIONAL DISCLOSURE
The works admitted to the final evenings, the screening dates and the composition of the jury will be announced at least 7 days before on the website www.murmatfestival.com and on the official facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Murmat-Festival, thus as well as any other communication regarding the progress of the competition. The festival management will be able to use the works received for the promotional and advertising dissemination of the competition (even after the closure of the edition), for no reason will it transfer them to others or transmit them by audiovisual means (web TV / private TV etc.)

The winners undertake to mention the awarding of the various prizes on every occasion and in all forms of advertising launch.
The winners undertake to insert the Festival’s logo in their works.
The cash prizes are intended gross of the withholding tax of 25% pursuant to art. 30, 2nd paragraph of Presidential Decree 600/73.
The prizes money are quantified by the direction of the Festival in terms of the funds raised.

Participation in the festival implies full acceptance of this regulation. The festival management reserves the right to take any decision not provided for in this regulation, to deal with any problems that may occur during its development.
