The 8th year running for film festival hosted by The Studio.

The Ithaca Short Film Festival is hosted by The Studio in the Roy H. Park School of Communication at Ithaca College in Ithaca NY.

This film festival is for filmmakers both in the United States and Internationally. We provide an opportunity for filmmakers, including college students, to showcase their work to a public audience and our panel of judges.

Our panel will be awarding films in a variety of different categories. We can't wait to see your work!

Awards will be given out for the following categories:

Best Narrative Film
Best Documentary Film
Best Directing
Best Editing
Best Screenplay
Best Cinematography
Best Score
Best Sound Design
Best Performance
Best Production Design

Terms:

- With your submission, you will be considered for all categories that are applicable to your film.
- You can be selected in multiple categories.
- For Ithaca College Students, the first entry is $10. Please contact us via email for a special code. Additional films will cost the corresponding fee ($15).
- For all other entrants each submission is $15.

Rules:
- Films must be under 30 minutes in length.
- Films should be in English or English subtitled
- Films can be any genre: Fiction, Animation, Documentary, Experimental.
- Films must have been completed anytime after January 1, 2023.

By submitting to this festival, you agree to the following:

-If accepted, your film will be screened by the Festival Committee.

-The ISFF and The Studio may use excerpts from your film for promotional purposes.
-The ISFF and The Studio has permission to show your film at college events and for recruitment.

  • Having the virtual event for ISFF was really exciting. The online event was really cool partnering with a cinema and there was a great display of very good films.
