iffy - The bite-sized film festival on the Liffey. We love short films and we want them centre stage.

A short film is a small, precious thing which can so easily be lost or overlooked. A short film is a spark in the darkness. A spark that needs to be gently blown on, to be fed kindling for it to burst into flame.

iffy is an evening showcase of short films, held in the heart of Dublin City. Your pieces are carefully selected to give attendees a glimpse of the magic of the short as a medium of storytelling.

The venue is a lovely 70 seater theatre in the Pearse family home on Pearse Street, Dublin 2. Attendees mingle with a glass of wine on the terrace and then pop inside for a carefully curated 90 minutes of shorts with popcorn.

If you’d like your short to be considered for screening on the evening, please submit.

If you have any questions please let us know. Filmmakers are important to us and we're always happy to help.

One film will be selected on the night to be awarded the little iffy. A framed laurel, much applause and €100.

- All submissions must have copyright clearance for all included media.
- If your film is accepted for the screening, you grant that iffy may use the excerpts and imagery from the film marketing purposes.
- All submissions must be in English or include English subtitles.

  • I had a brilliant time at iffy. The attention to detail combined with the warmth and care of the organisers made it a fantastic festival experience. You can’t ask for more than watching great films in a beautiful venue with a glass of mulled wine!
It was such an honour to pick up the 'little iffy' award for my film to really cap what was already a special night.

This festival was a pleasure to attend. The organisers were lovely to deal with and they brought a cohesion to the audience experience with their enthusiasm and respect for film. Met some interesting professionals at the relaxed reception. Looking forward to the next one - I'll be going for the pure enjoyment whether I have a film showing or not.

  • As a director, I was unable to attend but all communications were super clear and photos from the event made me green with envy. The event sold out, they offered free mulled wine, and by all accounts it was a super successful evening!
