Shock-A-Go-Go is a premiere festival that showcases: Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Cult, Dark Comedy, Experimental, Animation and Independent films.

Held annually in LA and NY since 2001, Shock-A-Go-Go has moved this year's festival to Lumiere Music Hall in Beverly Hills, CA. Our past festival has included guests such as: Roger Corman (Bucket of Blood, The Raven, Death Race 2000, The Little Shop of Horrors), Ted V. Mikels (Astro Zombies, The Doll Squad), David F. Friedman (Blood Feast, 2000 Maniacs) , Stuart Gordon (Re-Animator, Dagon), Jack Hill (Spider Baby, Foxy Brown), Mary Woronov (Rock and Roll High School, Eating Raoul), Linnea Quigley (Return of the Living Dead), Brinke Stevens (Slumber Party Massacre), Jim Wynorski (Chopping Mall), Jackie Kong (Blood Diner), The Cast of The Greasy Strangler, and Michael Berryman (The Devil's Rejects, The Hills Have Eyes). It's featured films such as Nightbreed, The Raven, The Masque of the Red Death, The Doll Squad, Rock and Roll High School, Dagon, Re-Animator, Spider Baby, Death Race 2000, Faster Pussycat, Kill, Kill, The Greasy Strangler, Slumber Party Massacre, Blood Diner, Thrust, Blacula, Chopping Mall, and many more.

Our festival runs all day and into the night and features brand new horror and genre films and animations as well as classic cult films, and contains a segment for shorts that spotlight many up and coming genre-filmmakers.

Programming:

This year, we will open our festival with a marathon of screenings at Lumiere Music Hall in Beverly Hills, CA with special honorary guest Lynn Lowry speaking and signing autographs. You can expect guest speakers with Q&A panels, a shorts segment, and a feature films segment. Each of these will have categories that spotlight animations, women, and BIPOC filmmakers.

We encourage filmmakers of all levels to submit to our festival, and we welcome as many submissions as you’d like. Please keep in mind, that if your film is selected and it was submitted to different categories, it will only play in one.

We accept the right to refuse any film based on content we deem hateful or sexist/homophobic, racist, etc. We accept films of any length.

7 . I certify that I have full rights to the use of the music in the entered work.

8 . I give permission for Shock-A-Go-Go to use stills, titles, copy, and/or information from the film for promotional purposes

9 . I give permission for Shock-A-Go-Go to screen the film at the Festival as well as any Festival presentations, programs, and/or events.

OTHER NOTES:

There is NO 'Film Made By' date. We have shown horror films from as early as the 30's. Please feel free to submit your early work as well as your current.

PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT pay screening fees. If any screening fee is requested by filmmaker(s), the associated film will be disqualified.
