We hope you can join us and explore the architectural award winning location Hornsey Library Silent Cinema in London after hours!

At Screen Culture International Film Festival we come together at the end of the journey for filmmakers and artists in order to celebrate the creative process. We want artists from all walks of life to enjoy the hard work of independent and student filmmakers, by being captured from their stories through the real, surreal or experimental styles of film practice.

FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL MEDIA FOR SPECIAL DISCOUNTS!!

We have separate student categories as we celebrate the films submitted via their various institutions around the world. Student filmmaking is a tough practice and we are honoured to have the chance to interview young artists and pick their brains.

Because we love testing our judges, this year we have added a category to invite you to a new challenge, a special category exploring an area that many student and non-student filmmakers like to attempt. “Best Analogue Film”. We look forward to seeing your entries.

Award Winners will receive official certificates from Screen Culture International Film Festival, along with official laurels for the publishing of their film.

Official Selections will also receive official laurels provided by Screen Culture International Film Festival.

CATEGORIES OPEN TO EVERYONE
-Best Short Narrative & Experimental (Max 30min)
-Best Music Video (Max 10min)
-Best Analogue Film (Max 30min)

CATEGORIES RESERVED TO STUDENTS
-Best Short Film (Max 30min)
-Best Short Experimental (Max 30min)
-Best Animation (Max 30min)
-Best Video Essay (Max 15min)

Award Winners will also receive a special offer from iPitch.tv and have free access to the platform. iPitch.tv is an online platform which promotes filmmakers with new ideas and connect them directly to Hollywood Producers and Studio Executives.

Winners will be also invited to present their projects on the day of the festival online and in person.

If your film is selected then you will be asked to:

It was a true pleasure to be part of Screen Culture International Film Festival, it had a fantastic selection of films from filmmakers with strong voices. It is obvious the team love filmmaking and its creative process. Because of the Pandemic, it was online, well managed, well attended. - all round a great experience, highly recommended! And again thank you for selecting STARBOY - we are absolutely delighted to have received the BEST SHORT FILM AWARD 2020 edition !
