Theatre Diaspora and Asian American Town are collaborating to screen local AAPI-driven films and media during the Legendary Makers Market. If you would like to submit your film, please fill out the following form.

The Legendary Makers Film Festival has become a beloved component of the Legendary Makers Market which features over a hundred vendors. We made history as the largest pan-Asian American-centered event in Oregon. Including film screenings by Asian American filmmakers last year was important in amplifying contemporary narratives of who we are as Asian Americans. Our inaugural event attracted over 13,000 attendees and this year with incredible cross-promotional partners and a new venue we anticipate over 20-25,000 attendees. Learn more about the overall event at www.legendarymakersmarket.com.

This year, we have access to the beautiful facilities in the Patricia Reser Center for the Performing Arts. It will allow us to elevate our delivery of media and arts by screening up to five films in a room with a 75-100 capacity. As well as one featured film in their main theater with a seating capacity of up to 550.

About Asian American Town: Asian American Town is exploring the physical space-related needs of our the pan-Asian American community through events, programs, and activations. The ultimate vision is to act as a third-party in the creation of joint-lease to own community spaces that are supported by business revenue instead of grants, sponsorships, and or membership fees. We have four one-hour blocks and one thirty-minute block designated for screening films. Ideally, if you are selected to screen a film with us there will be time for a short Q&A or meet and greet after it is shown to our attendees.

If the length of your film is under or exceeds the run-time parameters please reach out to us directly. There might be room to accommodate.

Those selected are expected to cross-promote the event through their social media channels or other mediums they use for marketing. The event will do the same.
