Ennis International Fantastic Film Fest (EIFF) is the FIRST ‘ film festival in the ‘Fantastic’ Genre in Ireland. The ‘fantastic’ genre covers, Horror, Fantasy and Sci Fi films. The priority for this festival is to deliver the best possible event for the film community, creative team, audience and local community. The aim is that in the next 3-5 years, EIFF will be a ‘go to’ festival for the audience and will have the support of community organisations, funders and stakeholders.

EIFF will provide industry led panel discussions and film screenings for local and international films with location scouting tours and networking events.

The festival will present:

- Selected screening programme of short and feature films
- In conversation events and Q&A discussions
- Workshops with industry professionals
- An awards ceremony to close the festival
- Networking opportunities for film makers and audience

Ennis is a vibrant town in the west of Ireland with transport links to National and International destinations.

1. Short films must not run longer than 30 minutes including titles and credits. Feature films must be over 60 minutes long including titles and credits. If your film is selected for screening you will be advised of the format required.

2. Only films submitted through FilmFreeway can be considered by the festival. Applications should include a brief synopsis (20-30 words) and two high res images.

3. All submissions must be in the Fantastic film genre, horror, suspense, science fiction or fantasy.

4. The festival does not pay screening fees for any of the films submitted or selected.

5. Submission Deadline August 2nd, 2024. All films must be submitted in final form and ready for screening.

6. Film Submission: EARLY BIRD - April 3rd, 2024.

7. Films completed after 2022 is our preference but the festival will consider films made before this date. Email us in advance of submission if your film was completed pre 2022.

8. Student films must have a valid Student I.D. to avail of the reduced fee.

9. If the film is not in the English language it must have English subtitles.

10. Music and image rights must be cleared for all films.

11. Selected submissions extracts can be included in all promotional material and publicity. (Extracts limited to and not exceeding 1 min)

12. Entry fees are non-refundable.

13. By submitting to the festival you are accepting all the festival regulations and procedures.

14. Decisions of the festival Jury and Judges is final.

15. The festival will liaise with the filmmaker regarding screening formats after final decisions have been taken

16. Selected finalists will be individually notified and a list will be on the website and social media platforms We regret we cannot provide individual feedback on your submission.

17. The festival does not issue waivers, please do not email the festival asking for waivers.
