Chinese Passenger
The protagonist is an ordinary Chinese youth, on the general express train to Guangzhou, a smoking girl in red caught his attention. He longed for a conversation with her but finally left, then fell asleep slowly later. In his dream, he sat on his young father’s (Lei) black taxi, then once again met the girl and fantasy that she is a prostitute. In his dream, he achieved his small wishes several times, such like smoking, talking with the girl, saying goodbye to his father and so on, but eventually he turned away in front of the girl’s barber shop, then in his own shabby room, he fell asleep in the red light.
This film does not have a twists and turns of the storyline, as a peaceful narrative it is more like the life itself, and the director does not attempt to push the film to the climax through bizarre plots, but through the film's own audio-visual language and multi-level narrative so that the audience could gradually step to the upsurge of emotion and produce their own interpretation. By the way, what I said above is just the director’s interpretation, everyone could have their own.

The director (Zhao Zhilong) was living in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, undergraduate study at the Huaqiao University major in Teaching Chinese language and Culture to Foreigners. Because of the intense interest of media and the love of film and literature, I turned into the major of Communication and media in University of Macau after graduation. "CHINESE PASSENGER" is my first film work, “Believe in Film” is my own film studio, the reason to name it as “Believe in Film” is that these three words have been supporting me to approach my film dream step by step. My second film “Siu Lam, Siu Lam”(<小欖 小欖>) have accomplished the playbook part.
