Caitlin Eadie - Wolf Cry
A mysterious young woman sits motionless on the floor near her record player. There's as eerie calm as she loads up some vinyl. The crackling music transports us to a desert where we are now face-to-face with a caged woman. Her face is the same as the girl before, only this person is much more wild than the last. She has the same look in her eyes that you'd expect to see from a caged wolf.
She sings out loud to herself as we drift slowly around the cage, exploring every angle. Her purple hair blows softly in the breeze. Suddenly the cage disappears, allowing her to run for safety. But she doesn't get far before realizing that she's still tied down. A mysterious reflection holds her back.
Fire erupts in the darkness as a third woman appears. She too has the same face, although this time she is dressed more elegant and bold. She sings alone in a seemingly endless black void. Flashes of light color her face as she bobs and weaves through the thin, dim smoke. This is her anthem.
Back in the desert there is a new cage. And locked inside is our music-loving heroine from before. Her black dress soaks in the sunlight, while her red hat keeps those harsh rays out of her eyes. She twirls, searching for an escape. Behind her, the wild haired woman struggles to get free of the mirror-person, but it's a losing battle. With one quick smash of a mirror and a well placed toss from the woman in black, the wild gal now holds a sharp shard of glass to cut her bonds.
The fiery woman continues to belt out her song as both of the desert heroines escape their prisons. Tattoos bearing song lyrics mysteriously begin to appear on the limbs of the wild girl. She quickly unites with her rescuer as they both run off toward the setting sun.
Home again. Was any of it real?

This was the first video that Caitlin and I talked about doing together, but the third that we actually ended up executing. We spent a lot of time on this video including trekking out to the desert to assembling cages, and trying out new techniques in the post production process.
