Who are you?

My name is Dmytro Dobrianov. My journey from a child's interest to a name in subtitles under the word director in my first short film began at the age of 7. I will not say that I have understood since then that I will become a director and yet my life has led me to the movies. I grew up in an ordinary family, in a very small town, where such a profession as a director existed only somewhere on TV, in Hollywood, but not in real life. Not despite the financial difficulties and different living conditions, my parents always tried to give me the best, to give me taste and upbringing. Before I finished school, I started looking for myself in different directions and trying to make some contribution to the family budget. At that time it was both a sport and an attempt at not big business and just a boring and sometimes risky job. I grew up and wanted to find my own way and opportunities for a better life, but nothing captivated me, but only gave the feeling that I was just losing the most precious thing - time. I have always been afraid of stereotyped, provincial life and it is thanks to this and thanks to friends and family that my path as a creative person began.
When I first said I wanted to make a movie, it was strange, and not everyone supported me, but people who believed in me then and throughout my journey to this day have no idea what power they have given me. I understood that I differed from my surroundings in views and values, and that I can try, take a camera and start shooting. Movies have haunted me all my life. This is my favorite form of creativity, and the one that best suits my ambitions. Interest has grown more and more every year. There were attempts to get into a film school (which many refused me), to work on the set, attempts to shoot their short stories and the main step is not to go to the film school, but to create it yourself, on your own set.
After going through all my finished and unfinished scripts, I chose one, with a simple, in my opinion, the plot. It was important for me to test my strength on simple things, how clear I can tell the story, how good the image my first viewers will see and start to hone my own ability to talk to them. During the production of the film at the age of 20, I realized many important things that you will not find in books or film school. I don't know what to expect next, but I'm sure the most interesting is ahead.
