Director Biography - Nahomi Pardo

Born in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico, Nahomi discovered her interested in film making since the age of 10 while playing with her grandpa's 5 megapixels camera. Nahomi graduated high school in Chihuahua and went to college in Albany, Georgia to improve her English. After one year there, she transferred to Eastern Arizona College and graduated on May 2017 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Media Communications. She will transfer on August 2017 to New Mexico State University to pursue a bachelor's degree in Digital Filmmaking. She has a YouTube channel where she uploads weekly videos about her life.

Director Statement

Whether I Am Here Or Not was my first formal production. I created this short film from scratch. I wrote a script on January and by February we started filming. Editing this on Avid Media Composer was a challenge for me because I wasn't familiar with that software. I am very proud of this short film, it gave me a small proof of what it is like in the real world. Definitely not an easy job, but definitely an enjoyable one and totally worth it!
