Daniel Herz is a director, teacher, actor and author. He’s the founder and artistic director of the Atores de Laura Theater Company. He’s been working with theater, opera, film and television for over 40 years. Herz directed the feature film A MELHOR VERSÃO. In theater, he’s directed around 40 plays, notorious examples include: “Zastrozzi” “Geraldo Pereira, um escurinho brasileiro”, “Nós no tempo”, “Otelo da Mangueira”, “Tom e Vinícius”, “A importância de ser perfeito” “A vida de Galileu”, “Ubu Rei”, among others. Herz has been nominated and has won awards such as Prêmio Coca-Cola de Teatro Jovem, Prêmio Qualidade Brasil, Prêmio Shell, Prêmio Orilaxé, Prêmio Cesgranrio, Prêmio Cepetin, Prêmio APTR e Prêmio FITA, “A importância de ser perfeito”, Prêmio Botequim Cultural. He’s published books such as “A Entrevista seguida de Cartão de embarque", "Decote seguido de Romeu e Isolda", “Textos reunidos Cia Atores de Laura: Romeu e Isolda, Decote, Adultério. O enxoval e Absurdo”.
Pedro Murad, director and screenwriter, has a PhD in languages from UFR and a masters in communications and culture from ECO/UFRJ. He works with film, television, publicity, music videos and making audiovisual content for brands. Murad’s made over two dozen short-films having gone through over 70 film festivals in Brazil and abroad, highlights include: “Guardaroupa”, “Justiça Itinerante”, “Timoneiro”, "Que nem meu pai", "Yeda Brown - Efeito Borboleta", “No Escuro”, "Lição de Casa", “Um Sonho Para a Princesa Arashi”, “My Sweet Nurse”, “Apague a Luz Antes de Entrar”, among others. He works with theater, having written over ten plays, such as: “Ivon Curi – O Ator da Canção”, “Clara e o Pombo Correio”, “Clementina, Cadê Você”, “Batuque na Cozinha”, “A Ronda”, “Não Olhe Para Baixo, Você Vai Querer Pular”, among others. He directed the feature film “Elton Medeiros – O Sol Nascerá”.
