We were so inspired by the amazing short films, original songs and monologues and stand up performances created by Vancouver’s artists in our first round of the Vancouver Quarantine Performance Project. After so much positive feedback and excitement from round one, we’ve decided to bring VQPP back for a second edition. That’s right, Round TWO is happening!

The dealio is the same as last time: all projects can and should be made following the rules of physical distancing as set by your local government. Try to make films with the people you live with, using your own equipment that you have access to. Safety first, always!

Our variety-show and festival will be broadcast LIVE on June 6th and 7th.

We’re going to get through this weird, wild time, together, even as our community keeps apart to keep everyone safe.

VQPP ROUND 2 CATEGORIES:
Short Film (5 minutes max)
Original Song (3 minutes max)
Original Monologue (3 minutes max)
TALENT SHOW (3 minutes max)

That’s right… our new category this time is TALENT SHOW!

What, you ask, is a Talent Show category? Show us any of the amazing things you can do!

Drag! Magic! Dance! Beat-boxing! Baton-twirling! Magic! Show us what you can stick up your nose! Whatever you got, we want to see it!

Submission Deadline: MAY 22ND

IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO SUBMIT PLEASE EMAIL: VQPERFORMANCEPROJECT@GMAIL.COM FOR A WAIVER CODE!

Will recommend this to anyone. This is such a wonderful thing to witness, seeing your city conjure the wackiest ideas for their projects! It really is an inspiring event to watch and to participate in.

What a blast to create with and for such an amazing community! Having this project posed to the Vancouver creative crowd made a shitty situation a lot brighter and made for an incredible show. 10/10, would do again.

It was such a blast participating in this festival. In an uncertain and difficult time, it was inspiring to see the artistic community come together to create. In the end, the talent displayed spoke for itself. Thank you Joel and Sasha for hosting such an awesome event and for giving us the opportunity and platform to showcase our work.
