Sidny Banagala is a middle-aged land owner and a planter. His wife Yasoma is a few years younger than him. Anuradha, the only daughter, is a depressed young woman due to an affair with a married man.

Sidney's decision to accommodate a foreign visitor named Vishwa in his home causes many problems for Yasoma and Anuradha.

Anuradha's heart is captivated by the attractive appearance of Vishwa, who is now in his middle age. Although Yasoma, who has cultural ties, is strict about the visitor, she does not get a good response from Sidny.

Yasoma, the mother of the young daughter who has experienced an unrequited love, finds the presence of the behavior of the outsider in her home, stressful. Even more intense is Vishwa's unannounced visit to her husband's business premises and the subsequent sms on his phone.

Although Anuradha tries hard to let the stranger know her feelings, the lack of favorable response from him creates much disappointment in her mind. The result is that she tries to get closer to the guest.

The intimacy shown towards Vishwa by her husband is a strong factor to make Yashoma suspicious of him as well. Anuradha succeeds in getting her wish on Vishwa, who joins drinking with her father's insistence. That happiness ends in a moment with a series of events that resolve many unresolved issues and end in a breakup.
