Álvaro Congosto is an independent filmmaker located in the US East Coast. His two latest short films, The Dress and Uncle Phil, have been internationally awarded and screened in dozens of international festivals. Álvaro also teaches Film Production at Boston University and Wheaton College. He’s been a Fulbright Grantee and is currently working on his latest project, Once Upon a Radio, a short film settled in 1938 during Orson Welles’ radio broadcast of The War of the Worlds. Uncle Phil is the story of two women at odds. The lost of innocence vs. the twilight of sexuality. Two poles apart fighting for the love of the same man. A story of betrayal where looking away is not an option anymore. At least it’s all in the family.
