The moon rose 40 minutes later on the second day and about 15 degrees further to the north. As such, the first shot begins at dusk at sunset and the second shot begins after sunset. a moon that is between the first quarter and full is called a Waxing Gibbous moon. On average, the moon rises 50 minutes later each day, but the time can vary between just a few minutes to over an hour.
