Tracey Cochrane walked into my office 7 years ago and asked me if she could volunteer, train and work toward producing a series on the local music scene in the Cariboo region in and around Quesnel BC, the show was to be called "Tracey's Traxx" a 13 part series, consisting of half hour episodes, in other words, a pretty big commitment, and I am sure glad that she did because she pulled that off with style, flair and ease, and in the years following Tracey has become one of my closest friends, produced countless video's and is now a feature film documentarian. No small feat in that amount of time.
It is her tenacity and pure focus that enables her to get a production done with rappid fire, with a knack for storytelling that makes a whole lot of sense, she packs a ton of emotional power into everything she does whether it's a short form or long format story, her methods pull at your heart, and leave you feeling something powerful. She really knows what she wants to get out of a production and her vision never falters. That said Tracey is really a pleasure to work with as she has a relaxed and easy going approach. She loves to laugh and joke and has a wicked sense of humour. This film “Calm in Chaos” took me on a journey to a better place. I hope it does for you as well.
Yours truly:
