Rina Hernandez was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas. Growing up in a small border town with not much to do, she lost herself in the escape offered by the world of film. She loved how every film she watched offered a personal transport to another world. After watching some DVD behind-the-scenes extras for The Lord of the Rings in middle school, she realized that a career in the film industry was possible. Now a recent graduate from the University of the Incarnate Word with a B.A. in Communication Arts with a concentration in Production and a B.A. in English with a focus in creative writing, she is eager to continue creating. Her ultimate goal as a filmmaker is to offer a visual escape to any who need it, even if only a temporary one.
