Director Biography - Mike Whitfield

Mike was born in Blackpool and has been trying to make up for it ever since. Growing up in the glory days of VHS he soon began his lifelong love affair with cinema while exploring his father’s collection of tapes. ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’, ‘The Day The Earth Stood Still’ and ‘Jason and the Argonauts’ to name just a few. A socially conscious director, Mike firmly believes that the duty of film is to edify, as well as entertain.
