John is a screenwriter, director and author based in Newcastle upon Tyne. His children's television script, The Things, was a winner of the BAFTA Rocliffe and BBC Writersroom children's writing competitions, and he has completed a BBC Drama Shadow Scheme. He has written and directed several shorts as well as Tone Death, and has a number of projects in development.
Roger Armstrong is a director based in Newcastle with over ten years’ video production experience, Roger has worked on everything from premiership football to weddings, and has produced numerous indie music videos, shorts and an award winning and experimental, zero budget feature film.
Tone Death is a off-the-wall genre mash-up, borne out of our love of two things: buddy comedies and horror movies. While Tone Death has its tongue firmly in its cheek, at its heart it poses a simple question: What extremes would you go to for something you believed in?
