Experiencing Interruptions?

time makes a fool of us all

"the spirit of dark and lonely water transposed to the forest: a haunted pastoral in a chilly river, with shattered head and roses"

amongst black water and stagnant woods, this zero-budget short (made on a Samsung phone, with VSDC free video editor) draws on the spirit of dark and lonely water in the forest, in landscapes where we encounter the seepage of what Rod Giblett calls "the lower echelons of the pathetic fallacy". it is Amy Cutler's second short film, and was partly inspired by Cindy Sherman's Fairytales and Disasters series of staged woodland photographs - macabre props, bodies, and a dead beast/ woman. the music was created by Mark Nicholas and Alison Cotton, whose atmospheric, hypnotic songs echo Nico's icy European folk, pastoral psychedelia and chilly English fields at dawn.
