Maurizio Forcella was born in Atri, a town in Abruzzo, on 24 May 1986. In 2006 he began studying at the Accademia dell’Immagine in Aquila. After three years of intense study he graduated as a ‘Specialist in Mass Media, Cinema and Communication’. Following his graduation he began working on various film productions and has already gained substantial experience, especially in television. In 2010 he worked as the second assistant director on the television series Tutti pazzi per amore, directed by Ricardo Milani. Since 2012 he has worked a camera operator on the programme Miss Italia. He has directed various short films, winning awards at different national competitions. His first work as a director is the short film Come fosse per sempre, produced in 2014, the opera has had a good response in many film festivals:
His latest short film as a director is “TIMBALLO”.
Since 2013 he has also pursued a career as a photographer, achieving success in some important festivals, the last of which was the Premio arte Mondatori.
