Director Biography - Danial Gondal

Danial Gondal is a director and editor based in New York, New York. His experimental films have been accepted as official selections and have screened in sixteen professional venues and festivals globally. Along with showcasing his work, Danial had also served as a panelist at Cinesonika International Soundtrack Conference and Festival in 2016. His films previous films have played with transience and
His photography has been showcased at Emerson College’s Visual Media Arts’ Student and Alumni Exhibition and at the Leslie Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art. In an effort to experiment with photography, Danial delivered over 1,000 photographs for music artists “The Lesson GK” and “madlovely.” Through his experience with “madlovely” and its entourage, his short avant garde documentary film, “this was this way” (2019) depicts the artistry and friendship of the young band.
Danial attended Emerson College and New York University. He holds an undergraduate degree in Film and Television from Tisch School of the Arts and a graduate in Interdisciplinary Studies from The Graduate School of Arts and Science. He is currently editing a short documentary from the New York City performances of Lal Batti, an Indian drag queen.
