Writer Statement

The Tides is a ghost story and a love letter to the classic British ghost stories that I have read and watched and been inspired by over the years. However, unlike the many classic ghost stories (usually with a male protagonist), I wanted to tell a story that was centered around and told from the perspective of a Mother. The Tides is a story that explores tragedy, grief, parenthood, love, loss and, of course, the supernatural.
