Director Statement

The Silver Lining was conceived for the Swacch Bharat Movement in 2016, and during it's shooting I came across a certain section of people who lead their lives managing the filth left over by our civilized surrounding. This film is an ode to their struggle, the people who actually are cleaning the dirt and garbage of our community but remain marginalized and underpaid. Their children are growing up in a landfill of garbage and yet never falter to smile whenever they feel that they have managed to contribute to our society. This film is dedicated to those little heroes.
