Director Statement

I was born in Kigali and it has always fascinated me to see how clean my city was. I have always wanted to make a story about people who make that dream come true. On my way back home from the bank, I came across Florence with her friend sweeping the road and I was surprised to see how happy they look! When I approached her and ask if I could make a short story about what she does to make a living sweeping the roads, she said yes and rushed home, grabbed a camera, and filmed her.
