Liu Ying is a minor character who lives in poverty and earns a living by selling low-quality retail clothing.
She was delighted to be invited to an appointment by her online dating partner, Cheng Fang, but was hopeless for his wealth. Therefore, she took her roommate’s advice, which is Wang Man showing how to buy luxuries without a bill, by”returning stuff back in seven days with no excuse”.

As a result of her romantic and emotional advancement, Liu was acquiring more luxuries and credit cards. Greedy was raised with pure love and a simple wish.
However, Liu inadvertently lost the brand of one of the most expensive skirts. She couldn’t return luxuries without hang tags, and she couldn’t afford any skirts she "borrowed" for free.
The truth gradually emerged after a bourgeois illusion was completely destroyed.
Liu Ying, Cheng Fang, and Wang Man—these three little characters have made their own choices.

Director Biography - jinzhao Luan, yiwen Guo

Luan Jinzhao, male, was born in Shandong, China, in 1996. In 2022, he wrote and directed the short film “Time and Desire.”
The film won the Best Short Film Award at the Eastern European Film Festival in 2022.

Director Statement

This is a story that reflects the living conditions of young people in contemporary Chinese society. They are under a lot of pressure and are victims of nihilism fallacy and the consumerism trap.

This is a story about a young Chinese woman who was wrapped to be objectified. The statement "love brings class crossing" is deceptive. Girls like Liu Ying, goodness and unkindness, lying and sincerity, her right to choose love will eventually be disintegrated so that she can become the new Wang Man.

This is a story of desire. The good and bad aspects of human nature are chosen by desire, and desire ultimately alienates the characters in the novel. The ideals and demands of the environment actually create this desire. It itself constitutes violence.
