Director Statement

"The Pipeline" was written based on my childhood in Alaska and the stories I heard growing up of the Alaskan people. Many types of people came to Alaska in the 1970's to work on the Trans-Alaska Oil Pipeline, contributing to one of the most diverse populations of any state in the U.S.

Beyond all the issues, environmental, political, economincal, etc. attached to the Alaska pipeline, there are the Alaskan people. So many whose lives were impacted, and continue to be, by this record-setting engineering feat. I hope that this film and these stories spark again the same interest and passion for the state of Alaska and it's highly diverse people that it deserves.

In the words of the first U.S. President to ever go north of the Arctic Circle, "What's happening in Alaska, is happening to us. It's our wake-up call." Thank you so much for your consideration and enjoy "The Pipeline."

"The Pipeline" is a passion project of a first-time film-maker and a female-led production team. Equality and non-appropriated Native American themes are depicted with admiration and as much integrity as a micro-budget film can muster. The film is currently a work-in-progress and is projected to be complete by December 2015.
