Kiril Todorov was born in 1989 in Burgas, Bulgaria. After graduating from High-school for Roman Languages in Burgas he decided to continue studying foreign languages and entered Sofia University to study Indology. During this time, driven by his interest in video editing and film making, he created a short movie for celebrating the World Day of Hindi – “Imagining Devdas” – a project sponsored by the Indian embassy. After this first real experience with film-making Kiril Todorov decided to study MA in Film and TV Directing in New Bulgarian University. His next movie - “The Patient” - was a project for the Master Class of Georgi Dyulgerov. It was selected in several international festivals and has a prize for second place for fiction film in the VIII International Youth Festival “Slavic Youth: Dreams and Hopes” in Moscow, Russia. His third short movie - “The Medallion” - has been developed in two workshops and the script has won the award “Best script for short movie” in the Festival of the theater and film art Nevena Kokanova. He's currently working on a feature film project and already participated with it in Midpoint screenwriting workshop. Except as a scriptwriter and director, Kiril works as a VFX artist and 2D Compositor in Worldwide FX, Nu Boyana Film Studios in Sofia, Bulgaria. He has experience in editing and color grading also and has worked in several music videos, commercials, TV programs, etc.
