This project started from my personal impressions during daily life in the big cities I lived in the past. It became apparent to me how in modern times people tend to lose more and more of their empathy towards others and their surroundings, replacing those feelings with cynicism and fear of exposing themselves to others, creating a personal barrier so they can escape being hurt.
The story of Hope focuses in a non-distant future where this behaviour is now even more recurrent and people have difficulty understanding emotions, utilizing artificial ways to experience happiness and other feelings. The concept of art and entertainment has changed and people are losing their humanity with each passing day. She is a new type of android that, being new to life and its puzzles, has a vision and understating that contrasts with her times.
