Director Statement

"The Last Line" was born when I woke up one day and said "I think I'll make a movie" I called up Henry and said "Hey, let's make a movie!" and he asked me where the script was. Two days later, I had a rough draft adapted from one of my poems, had subleased my apartment, and was driving across the state to where I went to high school. I am so in love with the fact that the community really came together to support me in this film. All the locations and crew were local donations of people who just loved the story. Every day I am thankful for these people who supported me. I'm even more thankful for my amazing crew who stepped up and followed their passion for what I feel is a beautiful product. Of course, I also have to thank the ex-boyfriend that inspired it all.
