Director Statement

The fear of death is a natural instinct in human beings, unconsciously motivates our actions. If we lived forever, sweetness would not be so sweet and nostalgia would lose its meaning in an ocean of immortality.
This story wants to rescue memories that marked the life of a human being and experience some of the facets of human life such as: family, friends, leisure, love, addictions, teachers, loneliness, the house, travel.

I wanted to generate a feeling of being at home and traveling at the same time. The mind is naughty and leads us to travel by memories or desires, she does not stand still, that's why the montage is quickly going from one ambience to other, but there is also a need to stop the mind with long takes that evoke breathing and reflection while showing the main character's reality at home.

The blue always predominant in the house, brings a nostalgic tone to the scene, while the trips are full of saturation and camera movements. The montage of these trips are made by associating diferente images, all of them taken in diferent places but shown together to represent the way in which the mind connects points that are not necessarily in the same space and time. Meanwhile the house gather elements of the same space to create a home environment and to show the audience where the character really is.
This montage is intended to evoke sensations that eventually lead you to travel on your own memories.
