Ethan Hanson is the writer and director of The Checkout Line. He is a senior at the University of South Carolina, where he studies Media Arts and Graphic Design. He spent this past year in England, and in Austin, where he worked as a Screenplay Reader for the Austin Film Festival. Ethan was raised on the Isle of Palms in Charleston, South Carolina.
With this project, I wanted to try something I've never done before: create a world that felt cohesive and inhabitable. By working with some amazingly talented artists, we were able to construct a colorful, fashionable environment in which our characters could interact with one another. This is my most ambitious project to date, and I feel that it will only help myself and those around me to better ourselves and our art.
