We are a teenage brother & sister smart-phone filmmaking team based in the Blue Mountains NSW & Southern Highlands region of NSW, Australia.
We love making short films with friends and family, but when no one is available, we have learnt to improvise and do all the writing, acting, filming, editing and post production by ourselves, which is both challenging and a lot of fun.
We hope you enjoy our tribute to the silent films of the 1920s, featuring the slap-stick comic genius of Charlie Chaplin and also the 'schlock- horror' black and white vampire films from the 1930s and 40s.
The film was shot entirely on an iPhone 6s with a Struman Optics Cinematic Lens (by Olive and Ludo) and edited (by Olive) with Final Cut Pro and was directed, written and produced by Olive and Ludo.
Mum and dad helped by carrying props and driving us to and from the location shoot, in the fire-ravaged bushland near our home in the Southern Highlands, but otherwise no adults assisted in the making of this film.
It was quite challenging to have to act, direct, shoot, edit and produce this film all on our own using just one iPhone 6s in the style of an old fashioned black and white film while still keeping it fun and G-rated for modern audiences of Halloween films, but we think we pulled it off pretty well and audiences of all ages seem to really enjoy it, so we hope you do too.
