Director Biography - Oriol Cervera Subirats, Adrián Diaz Villafuerte, Kim Majdalani, Luis Valverde

Oriol Cervera Subirats (Spain, 1994): After attending a Biology BA and a Documentary Direction MA in Barcelona, he travels to the UK to combine his two passions: cinema and nature. There he studied a Wildlife Documentary Production MA in the University of Salford, where he made several short environmental films.
His documentaries have an ironic touch and explore the human-wildlife relationship, always from a critical and balanced point of view.

Adrian Diaz Villafuerte (Spain, 1995): He studied Film, Television and Media Studies in Carlos III University of Madrid. As a final thesis, he directed the documentary “I wait”, about the Saharaui - Moroccan conflict and its effects on the students of Sahara Film School, located in the refugee camps of Tindouf. He has also studied at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa and in the University of Texas at Austin. He currently lives in England, finishing an MA in Wildlife Documentary Production.

Kim Majdalani (Lebanon, 1994): Aspiring filmmaker who has studied wildlife documentary production at the University of Salford in 2019. She believes that every documentary should ignite in the audience potential for change towards a better world. She's compelled to showcase the stories of the most vulnerable of people and animals, or in other words, speak for the ones less spoken of.

Luis Valverde (Ecuador, 1995): Ecuadorian filmmaker focused on the interactions between human beings and their environment. He graduated from Film and Cinema at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito. Before studying his Master degree in TV Documentary Production at the University of Salford, he was the administrator and professor of a special educational program that ensured young adults of marginalised conditions the culmination of their general studies. Based upon a humanistic perspective, he is now dedicated to achieving a truly democratic representation of individuals through documentary portraits.
