Private Project

The 2 of Us, Tomorrow

High school is almost over. Three boys film unique moments of their lives, which are at a turning point. Plans for the future and love stories don’t necessarily fit together. Ernesto’s dream is to become a rapper, but his girlfriend gets pregnant and he has to look for a job. Edoardo wants to get admitted to the medical school at any cost, but the difficulties with his girlfriend Martina keep diverting him from studying. Gaetano wants to move to London just after the graduation. He wants to study fashion design, and he does not seem to be ready to compromise – not even for love. Tomorrow is coming. The three boys must think about their future, and to call into question anything they have.

Director Biography - Eugenio Maria Carmine Russo

I was born in Napoli in 1986. I have got a master degree in Classics at University of Trento, but I studied as well Comparative Literature at Goldsmiths – University of London (spring term of 2011). During the years of University I started making short movies and documentaries. The rough cut of my first short movie, Dafni e Cloe, was selected for Berlinale Talent Campus 2011, with the supervision of Yann Dedet. This had been the main motivation to keep making films, and to try to do it in a professional way, film after film. In order to make it happen I participated in the foundation of a young production company, called Jump Cut (www.jumpcut.it). My last movie is Noi 2, domani (The 2 of us, tomorrow), a documentary about three 18-years-old boys. In 2014 I moved to Germany in order to acquire new experience, using my skills as editor and sound engineer as well. In 2014 I took part to IFFI Campus as selected talent.
