The Power of Smile
Rafaela was a little girl, from the countryside of Brazil, full of dreams, who used to love dancing and playing with her friends. However, an unexpected swelling on her left foot transformed her life. After visiting several doctors, in different cities, she was diagnosed with an Ewing Sarcoma and started her treatment in Hospital de Amor (a Latin America cancer center reference, that offers treatment entirely for free). With the support of her family and Hospital de Amor team, she was able to go through this hard moment, surrounded by love, affection and smiles. Some years after finishing her treatment, Rafaela returns to the organization, now in a new mission, that will change her life.
