Austin Under the Stars Film Festival 2020
Amanda Öman is a writer, director, video editor and content producer based in London. Her short script, Nothing Good Happens on a Tuesday won the BA Film screenwriting award at her university and was a semi-finalist for the Southeastern International Film Festival 2016.
Another screenplay, The Art of Being Wicked placed as a quarterfinalist in The Script Lab’s Screenplay Competition in 2020. Her latest short, My Pink Palace explores the complicated relationship between parent and child with experimental elements. Her work features complex female characters with undertones of queerness in genre-blending worlds.
