Director Statement

The idea for The Great Indian Tamasha began soon after the famous ‘Batla House encounter’ and developed after ‘26/11 attacks on Mumbai’ when politicians and media made the mockery of Indian intelligence and national security.
Film’s theme is all about America and Israel, the weapon producing giants of today’s modern warfare. But to sell your product, you need to create the demand for it. And that’s how the evil strategy works, engage nations into constant wars. And unfortunately two such nations are India and Pakistan. And that’s where they primarily market their deadly weapons on which their economy survives. Constant propagandas are made behind closed doors to keep these two countries apart, and the result? The so called terrorist attacks into each other’s land. This story is about one such mystery attack. A story following six bomb blasts at different locations in Mumbai, killing innocent lives, gripping the entire nation. The blame is immediately put on its neighboring rival country, Pakistan. But, is it really that easy for any foreign nation to come and execute such multiple attacks into one of its prime cities? Luckily one of the six bombs gets defused and from it begins the investigation chase that not only solves the query but shows some deep interconnection among the criminal minds, the chemical suppliers, the drug mafia, its rave parties and how huge funds are generated for carrying out such terror plots. As the mystery unravels it tells us the stark reality of media ethics and how our own people, the CIA and the corrupted government is involved into committing such war crimes. With a storyline so powerful this movie will keep the audience engaged till the end and ultimately leaves them shaken by its painful and eye opening climax.
