Director Biography - Enzo Jerez

Enzo Jerez was born in Chile and since the age of 22 has been living in different countries of South America. His father is a cartographer and his lovely mother is a „movie addicted“.
Started to tell stories when he was four, having just started school.
He has worked in many areas, even though he has two official professions: Diver and Filmmaker. Enzo jerez has a hobby nature of Goethe: Poetry.
Since 2009 lives in Germany because the precise arrangements of his karma.
In 2013 he founded the „Organic Creations Group – Berlin“, an international independent group of artists and technicians who are commited to produce film projects under the principles of the organic creation process, where the main goal is being working not for the old poor interest of the „Banking“ and the „worldwide Oil unconsciousness“, but for the expansion of consciousness and the inner world of the human being, the regular Film-goers.
Currently (2016) is committed to realising a 2 years project, a short-film trilogy called „The Mysteries of Consciousness“.
He doesn ́t separate his work, his movie, his film from the life he lives. „ You should belong to it, it shouldn ́t belong to you. Cinema uses your life, not vice versa.“ (Andrei Tarkovski ́s words)

Director Statement

I believe in Cinema as a way of love ́s exchange. There are so many chances to be tested in our behaviors during the making of a film. It is a permanent testing, I would say just a little less than family life, and this is what make special the film ́s projects. I enjoy being alone and also working with other persons, and I really feel very united to other technicians and artists when we are able to work with passion, respect, tolerance...in few words: when we work not for prestige, money or lust, but just for love to the themes and topics that we want to develop in our „handcrafts“. Independent cinema doesn ́t mean few money and unprofessional, but a 24 hrs / day engagement, exactly as being mother, father or son. Sometimes it is sweet, other ones hard, soft, bitter and inescapable. We work in our projects with a lot of love and truthfulness, and I am convinced that we can help to improve the inner world of people, the regular audience, not only for the so-called scholars and experts.
