talk to me, Orlando
By Virginia Woolf it' is a theatrical piece 90' directed by Giuseppe Bucci. Shoted and editend in a 14' short movie.
Orlando is a man, a woman, a man and a woman. Orlando is a wonderful creature that spans the centuries, searching in vain for his own identity and meaning for life, which he loves madly, although this continues to disappoint him.
Love, poetry, politics, sex, society, everything enchants him and everything betrays him, but he never gives up, ready to start over.
Virginia, closed in her "room all to herself", puts herself in the shoes of an imaginary biographer (a man, in fact) taking tenderly the game of her Orlando, then of her beloved Vita, but in the end, above all of herself, always at search for that intuition of pure poetry, which writers eternally pursue. Orlando represents, perhaps more than anything else, the unconditional and endless love of Virginia Woolf for literature and poetry.
