Sundowners (2016)

Certain a city is under siege by a “creature of the night” the local Catholic Chapter has sent a squad of slayers to eradicate a centuries-old enemy, Vampire Violet, at the behest of the Vatican.

Vampire Violet has set up shop in the suburban sanctity of Arkham, Massachusetts, and she’s been slowly sucking her way through the entire town. Little does she know, however, she’s about to come up against The God Squad’s secret weapon – SUNDOWNERS pathogen, which has been hijacked from The God Squad’s archenemy (and Violet’s benefactor), pharmaceutical titan Cerberus Unlimited.

Director Statement

SUNDOWNERS is the maiden voyage for Egomaniacal Productions. Although we view it as a fun little genre short, it’s also intended as an appetizer, the tip of the iceberg for what we have in store for audiences worldwide.

With this movie, we wanted to give the audience a thrill-ride right from the start, then completely subvert expectations, while staying within certain genre tropes. Keep it fun, but also a little unexpected.

Furthermore, we also wanted to introduce movie-goers to a few of our Egomaniacal characters, some of whom will be inhabiting our shared universe in some way, shape, or form in future productions. Some of them will appear again as supporting players, while others will be headlining a feature of their own.
