Sounderground è un festival di cinema a tematica musicale, che promuove film e filmmakers indipendenti da tutto il mondo, alla ricerca dell’immagine che il cinema può restituire della musica e viceversa, entrando in risonanza. Non solo musical, non solo biopic ma qualsiasi tipo di produzione che parli di questo. Per scoprire quanto questo genere di cinema abbia influito sulla cultura e per amplificarne l’impatto emotivo.

Sounderground is a festival showcasing independent films and filmmakers from around the world, to discover how cinema and music can resonate together. Not only musicals, not only biopics but any kind of production which speaks about music. To find out how much this kind of cinema has influenced the culture and to amplify its emotional impact.

Rules & Terms

Awards will be only picked up by authors attending the event at the festival venue.
All non-Italian movies with dialogues or voiceover must include English or (even better) Italian subtitles, both for judging and for screening.
In case of selection, subtitles in Italian would be greatly appreciated.
Full HD (1080p) H.264 Mpeg4 compressed files under 4 GB, submitted via Wetransfer only. No higher resolution or .MOV files.
Be aware that non-Italian works (containing dialogues) and without subtitles will NOT be screened.

I premi saranno esclusivamente consegnati di persona agli autori presenti fisicamente all'evento.
Tutti i film non in lingua italiana, contenenti dialoghi o voice over, devono essere sottotitolati in lingua inglese o italiana, sia per il processo di selezione, sia per l'eventuale proiezione pubblica.
I files di screening, in formato Full HD (1080p) H.264 .MP4 devono essere inferiori a 4 GB ed essere inviati esclusivamente via Wetransfer.
