Sly Art

Sly Art is a film that opens a world of the ruthless and heartless. The story takes place in the heart of Chinatown. The characters come from all corners of the world – colliding in the vast racial and ethnic melting pot, which is New York City. Our protagonist, London, is struggling to emancipate himself from an organization of assassins. Having had his fill of the soulless path he had chosen years ago, London, only seeks love and a separate peace. Unbeknownst to him, his lover, Catherine, has now been ordered to eliminate him. This is the way of the knife: as the assassins blood oath dictates, one can only resign by way of death. Her choice is a simple one: kill or be killed. He has no choice.
London has spent years contemplating his escape, fearing the wrath of The Doyen, the most powerful of this blood-thirsty group of killers. His plan is now set. He finally has the will, the resources, and the woman. All that is required is that he execute operation disappear. For a man whose work has been to take lives, London’s fatal flaw is, never knowing who to trust. He shares his secret with his apprentice, Adam, but as the rules of the game dictate, the apprentice is sworn to betray him. The Doyen now knows and the deed is done. As Catherine struggles with her orders, Sly Art unfolds in which the past, present and future arrive at a single moment of destiny.
This is the story of the human condition. Adam is both the beginning and end. Years of being loyal to an empty cause, has left him disillusioned. In London, Adam finds both a friend and foe. A mentor and enemy. Feeling betrayed by London’s desire to leave the organization, Adam sees an opportunity and seizes upon it. What follows,
are the violent acts of jaded men. The Doyen, loyal to his code; Adam, loyal to no one; London, loyal to Catherine; Catherine, loyal to death.

Director Biography - Cassell A. Ferere

Cassell A. Ferere was born in Brooklyn, NY. From the Borough to Manhattan Island, he has defined the 'it' that others seek to be. Redrawing the lines with visionary precision. Life, in all its facets, inspires him.

His path was not easy, and there have been stumbling blocks. But an acute sense of self-determination has guided Cassell down the road not taken. In the words of Kafka, this door was meant only for him. Photography is his open door and bountiful well: reaping priceless springs of experience.

He has captured images of public figures at their most unassuming and unguarded; and has worked with a range of celebrities, from music producer Pharrell Williams, to artists Ed Sheeran, Kid Cudi and Trey Songz, tv host Touré, radio personality Peter Rosenberg, DJ Cipha Sounds, professional skateboarder Stevie Williams, and designers Dee & Ricky.
