Siddharth Potade is an emerging filmmaker hailing from Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. With over eight years of hands-on experience in the film industry, Siddharth has worked as an assistant director, honing his craft alongside established filmmakers. Siddharth’s work reflects his deep connection to human emotions and the complexities of life, which he often portrays through the lens of nuanced, character- driven narratives.
His directorial debut, Dentures, a short film co-directed and co-written with a close friend, delves into the delicate topic of dementia. The film’s narrative artfully balances humour and poignancy, portraying the challenges faced by a family dealing with a father suffering from memory loss. Dentures has garnered significant attention for its thoughtful treatment of the subject, earning spots in several prestigious international film festivals. These include prominent selections such as Visions Du Réel, IDFA (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam), and many others.
Following this, his second short film, Bhankheda, which he directed, is now complete, and he is in the process of submitting it to festivals worldwide.
